Sewing Ornaments

I would like to share with you some ornaments that I have in my Sewing Room:-

A ‘Singer’ style Sewing Machine bought from Homebase – I could not resist it!

A vintage style decorative mannequin – a beautiful bargain found in a charity shop!

A Shabby Chic display stand (bought from Amazon) with decorative hearts including my handmade ‘Cath Kidston’ style lavender heart.

Some gifts from my relatives: a silver plated bird/blue velvet pincushion, a fine bone china thimble and a tiny pewter Sewing Machine. These are the type of gifts that I really like!

Two 3-tier compartment boxes bought from Laura Ashley – half price in the Sale! The boxes have sewing images on them i.e. sewing machine, needle, thread, scissors, tape measure and buttons. I use these to store ribbons and trims for my sewing projects.

‘Sew It Yourself’ boxes bought from a gift shop. I use these to store buttons.

A Tape Measure bangle bought in the gift shop of the Fashion Museum in the town of Bath – the ultimate accessory for a dressmaker.

Do you look out for sewing related items when out shopping? Do your family/friends give you sewing related gifts?

Oh, these are so fun! I love boxes so I love those Laura Ashley ones that you have! You must have a very pretty sewing room!

My sewing room is nice, though I wouldn’t say its very pretty compared to some sewing rooms that I have seen in blog land and though I mostly sew in that room, it also contains a single bed. My favourite sewing room is – that is really pretty!
